Our project Alexandra College has received planning and listed building consent with construction to begin immediately providing a two phased opening in September 2015 and February 2016. The College will cater for students aged 16 – 25 with severe and complex needs, PMLD, SLD and autism.

The project is located within the Grade II* listed Alexandra Road Estate and the former school building received Grade II listed status in 2013. The London Borough of Camden aspires to create a ‘hub’ for learning where students can learn, socialise and develop new skills that can be transferred into the community. Within the restraints of the listed site, existing structure and outdated teaching environments we have developed a low intervention strategy for the existing building with original joinery items and finishes being retained wherever possible.
