A rear car park for response vehicles is set in the angle formed by the two wings. It is enclosed by a high brick wall for security and accessed through an electronically controlled gate.
External walls are constructed of in insitu reinforced concrete faced externally with brickwork. Glazing is aluminium framed to blast resistant specifications. Curtain walling allows views into the lobby from the reception area beyond and provides privacy while managing to give an illusion of transparency. The ground floor contains interview rooms, a medical facilities room, dog kennels, WCs and cells. The upper floor contains cellular office spaces with glazed inner walls to allow light in from corridor glazing, meeting rooms, an amenity room, WCs, locker rooms and a large incident room which can be divided by a moveable central partition.
