We have worked on a range of design solutions for issues at Leicester Square Underground Station including congestion relief and step free access.
In advance of the implementation of these major projects a full refurbishment of public areas of the station, excluding platforms and the ticket hall, were designed and implemented. The works included new wall, floor and ceiling finishes with an integrated lighting and cable management system. The constraints of the existing tunnels required unique solutions to every area whilst maintaining a standard aesthetic. A previous project at Leicester Square station included the new control room in the centre of the ticket hall. This was part of a major programme of work to create new control facilities across the network with improved security for passengers. Other work that we have completed at the station includes the complete remodelling of the upper floors as new office accommodation. This also required major structural works as well as the extensive refurbishment of the traditional faience and stone facades of the building.
