Mixing SEN accommodation – what works and what doesn't
We're delighted to announce that Claire Barton will be talking about our experience in designing accommodation for students with Special Needs at the Education Construction Network and Residential Conference at the NLA later this month. She will be joined by Bob Rose, headteacher of Alexandra College.
Alexandra College is a new initiative by London Borough of Camden bringing together an educational provision with short break accommodation for young people aged 16-25 years with complex Special Needs. Key to the design is developing an environment that provides true life skills and trains young people to live independent lives. Together with our client we'll discuss the challenges and opportunities that have presented themselves through this project and how the team have tackled key design issues.
