The Countess of Wessex opens Livity
HRH The Countess of Wessex officially opened The Livity School yesterday. The ceremony was attended by students, parents and carers, school staff and representatives of Lambeth, including the Mayor. Her Royal Highness warmly greeted the students and spent time walking through the school with them. The countess specifically asked to meet the architects and Adrienne Gawne-Cain and Claire Barton and they talked her through the initial concept and design process. The Countess, together with Livity's headteacher Carol Argent, unveiled a commemorative plaque which will remind students and staff of this exciting day. However, the most memorable moment probably was when The Countess commented:
"You have a fantastic building but it is the occupants who create the atmosphere".
We couldn't agree more.
