BD Architect of the Year Awards Shortlisting

We were shortlisted for the BD Architect of the Year Awards 2019 – Refurbishment Architect of the Year category.

We passionately believe that refurbished public buildings offer a unique ability to inject new life into their communities, allowing users to explore, enjoy and help protect their heritage asset throughout the design process and long after construction has finished.

Brackley Town Hall was a carefully considered restoration project on a civic scale, delivering a reinvigorated cultural centre with sustainable revenue streams.

At The Belham School centres around the sensitive restoration of a Grade II Listed London Board school.  A key aspiration was to accommodate a full and varied programme of wider community uses given Peckham’s vibrant artistic population.  Our design incorporated a non-traditional hall, in shape and materiality, to create an innovative setting for cultural events.

The longer term masterplan for Taylors Bell Foundry provides an improved and curated museum proposal with a more interactive experience of the foundry, allowing visitors to walk through and see the industrial processes first hand as well as chime a unique range of bell designs from around the world.

Dairy Farm Barns will offer new homes to families who want to live in unique spaces with minimal but focused modern interventions which complement the historic industrial aesthetic.
