From over 200 entries and 22 projects shortlisted Guildford Crematorium has been Highly Commended in the SPACES: Society for Public Architecture, Construction, Engineering and Surveying Awards 2021, Community Category.

The new-build crematorium provides a chapel for 135 people seated and 50 standing space with floral tribute to replace the existing building which was at the end of its natural life. The project involved creating a suitable replacement which responds to modern funeral, memorial and mechanical practices.
