Creating Interestingly Different showcase studio
Interestingly Different are a social enterprise who sell beautiful gifts and household goods produced by partners who employ people with learning difficulties, autism, disabilities or life challenges. They wanted to create a place to showcase the wonderful products made by their trainees to be front and centre in their community.
Our studio worked with their team to design and build their new shop to display these wonderful products.
The unique concept of the Interestingly Different project ensures that the trainees get the opportunity to showcase their skills in a supported environment which works for them. As well as working directly in store , many trainees work on their production side, creating our upcycled products and preserves. We are proud and humbled everyday when we see our trainees flourish and grow.
Interestingly Different (part of Nickel Support, a Community Interest Company) joined forces with our friends at Promise in Store to ensure an amazing range of goods will be available in their new shop. All profits they make go back into creating more paid employment opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.
“Working at Interestingly Different has helped me with my confidence. I have improved my customer service skills and now love interacting with customers.”
