Success at the 2021 RIBA Project Architect Awards
We are immensely proud that Kate McGechan (Haverstock Associate) has won the 2021 RIBA South East Project Architect of the Year Award! She deserves this recognition for the dedication and heart that went into delivering Linden Farm Supported Living. This is an exemplar of social care housing and Haverstock are truly honoured to have been involved.
The jury felt this was a truly radical development, providing homes for a group of young autistic people who would typically be housed in apartments or unimaginative accommodation. As such, this project will genuinely change people’s lives. Recognition is due for the dedication and heart that has gone into this venture. This is an exemplar of social care housing and a delight to visit.
The project shows how an architect can add joy to the everyday experience of the occupants and give them a springboard to seek adventure and experiences in the outside world.
